Celebrate Dining With NYC Restaurant Week

in Do

Dinner bell ring! It’s time yet again for Restaurant Week. Recession be damned, Let’s get our grub on. Restaurant Week 2009 will be held January 18-23rd and January 25-30th. The 250 plus participating restaurants are taking reservations now.  Book your table at nycgo.com/restaurantweek.

The origins of NYC Restaurant Week dates back to 1992 as a way to welcome the Democratic delegates to NYC.  Although it was intended as a one time event for out of towners,  New Yorkers quickly made it their own.  Seventeen years later Restaurant Week is as strong as ever.  In a clear sign that the economic stress has hit the top city dining places, for the first time this year many of the participating restaurants are adding Sundays.

Now, what do we have to do to get a “Broadway Week” started.  Any ideas?
